Founded in 1921, the California Scholarship Federation is California's oldest scholastic scholarship institution. CSF emphasizes high scholarship and community service standards for California high school students. CSF encourages service to the school and the community while fostering pride in academic achievement.
CSF Membership is based on scholarship and is gained after qualifying grades are earned each semester. In order to become a member, the student must submit an application by the published deadline and pay membership dues on being admitted. A point system specified in the CSF State By-Laws establishes the membership requirements. To secure eligibility for CSF membership, a student must earn sufficient points from pre-approved course lists. The majority of the required membership points must come from college preparatory accepted coursework.
In addition to being eligible for scholarship opportunities, when student remain active members for at least 4 semester (out of 6) using grades earned during their sophomore through senior years (at least one of which must be using senior year grades), they earn the CSF embossed Seal on their diploma and transcripts along with the CSF Life Member status.
We are students who have earned the privilege of being members of a recognized honor society through our grades and service. The RBHS CSF club is one of the largest clubs on campus. Members volunteer at various events in the community and are encouraged to apply for CSF scholarships.
With four semesters of eligibility as CSF members, you can earn the prestigious status of being a Lifetime Member. This is a title that can make college applications more impressive, will earn you a CSF gold seal on your diploma, and gives you the distinction of wearing a gold sash over your graduation robes.
Your sophomore-, junior-, and senior-year grades are the central driving points for eligibility. You will need to complete the CSF application and submit it during the dates allotted in a specific semester. To maintain active membership, pay your membership dues on time and turn in your volunteer hours forms .
